I was fine yesterday. How about you? For me fine meant that I was just okay. I was feeling a lot of tension in my bones yesterday (yes I know that sounds weird). The day before I had a headache for over 48 hours. The reason...who knows. One of the problems one faces when dealing with a chronic illness is it is hard to differentiate between normal life pains and the symptoms and problems associated with ones disease.
I have noticed that those struggling with rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes face a lot of the same issues that I do. I have found a lot of comfort in reading the posts of health care activists with these diseases. What helps the most though is when there are people who say, "how are your?" and they really mean it. These saints help lighten the load.
Listen, we all have days where things are Fine and that's okay. In the long run though you have to let some people in (on your pain, your depression, your heartache) or eventually it's all going to fall apart.
