Announcement!!!!

While ECD may be beating me up, life is lifting me up. While ECD my try to steal my joy, the community of faith I participate in fills me with hope. While ECD tries to make me angry, my wife responds in love.

I have been going through quite a roller coaster of emotions the last few days. I seem to be loosing some of the gains I made in my battle against weight loss and the recent death of the Rev. Dr. Eversley has reminded me of how short our time on this earth can be.

And yet...in the middle of the chaos a blessing (in fact many blessings).

$5,000 check towards ECD research.

The Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Jamaica called and asked how they could help me. I said, "what we really need is more funding towards finding a cure for ECD". A week later members of the church came and presented me with this check for $5,000 dollars! I am in awe of their generosity and they are not the only ones. We continue to receive donations from friends, family, colleagues, and yes even strangers! Their faithfulness reminds me of this verse...

Matthew 17:20 "Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

I will not be cowed by a disease. I will not let the faith others have placed in me be wasted. Move away from me ECD I have things to do for God and your not going to get in my way!
